The old adage goes, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"


'Round here, springtime brings us dandelions...or weeds, if you look at it that way.


So we took our "weeds" and made this smile!

Looking up into the winter sky,
along the rugged body of old black walnut,
I am reminded
that we, as a people,
are perpetually growing...
Even when the world appears desolate,
and the trees leave us no shelter,
and our ornaments fall away,
we grow and reach skyward...
That is how it is with us.
